While some argue that blue is the rarest coat color in almost any breed, including the Poodle, others claim the red Poodle is less common while some say apricot Poodles are “the rarest in the world.”

The dog's pedigree and lineage can also play a role in determining the price, with purebred dogs from champion bloodlines often being more expensive. Finally, the location where the poodle is being sold can also affect the price, with dogs in high-demand areas typically being more expensive.

King poodle, like Royal or Giant Poodle is a marketing term, mostly by breeders, to describe very large standard poodles. To most kennel clubs these would still be considered Standard poodles, which are considered to be 15" or larger at the shoulder.

The Poodle temperament is friendly, playful, responsive and fun – making them ideal family dogs for households with lots going on. All three sizes – Standard, Toy and Miniature – share very similar personality characteristics.
